Introduction [Biosketch]

  • D Koteswara Raju was born 05th Novemeber-1983 in Kanukollu, Mandavalli Mandal, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, India. He completed his earlier schooling from Zilla Parishad High School, Lingala and Mudinepalli, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, India in 1999. He completed Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from AANM & VVRSR Polytechnic, Gudlavalleru, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh India in 2002 and B. Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from DVR & DRHS, MIC College of technology, Affiliated to JNTU Hyderabad, India in 2006. After completing B. Tech. he joined as Assistant Professor in Nalanda Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sattenapalli, Guntur, India. He obtained M .Tech in Power System Engineering from RVR & JCCE, Guntur, affiliated to ANU Vijayawada, India in 2009. After completing M. Tech he worked as Assistant Professor in R.V.R & J.C. College of Engineering, Guntur and Associate Professor in Gudlavalleru Engineering College, Gudlavalleru, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2017 from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, India. After Ph.D. worked as Associate Professor at Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology (SNIST) Hyderabad. At present he is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, NIT Silchar.

Areas of Interest

  • Power System Operation, Control and Protection. Optimal operation of distributed energy resources in Microgrids. Application of Bio-Inspired Algorithms for Energy Management of Microgrids, Smart Grids and Electrical Vehicles. Design of Current Sensor for Phasor Measurement Units and their applications in Power systems operation and control. Mitigation of Subsynchronous Resonance with STATCOM, SSSC and UPFC using PI and FOPI controllers.
